The Baofeng Battery Case (6 X AA) allows you to use 6 Ni-Mh or Li-ion AA batteries to power the Baofeng UV-5R. The dimensions of the battery case extends beyond the base of the radio, providing a more ergonomic interface. (If you use Alkaline batteries, due to transmit voltage requirements, use 5 Alkaline AA’s and 1 dummy battery.) This accessory is a must have upgrade and has three methods of use: Method 1: 6 Ni-mh or Li-ion AA (1.2-1.4V) – transmit and receive Method 2: 6 Alkaline AA (1.5V) – receive only Method 3: 5 Alkaline AA (1.5V) and 1 dummy AA – transmit and receive Compatible with: Baofeng UV-5R, UV5RA, UV5RE, UV-5R , UV-5R Plus NOT Compatible with: Baofeng UV5RA-Plus, UV5RC, UV5RD Batteries not included.
