Ayla is a very intense deep yet, beautiful olive green with notably high clarity. “Dement” is the old german name for diamond-like, making the demantoid the highest dispersive garnet. Prosperity Earth mines and facets demantoid garnets in Madagascar while keeping environment protection a priority. The hardness of these Madagascan stones is 6.5-7 on the Mohs’ hardness scale, making garnets a good choice for a custom-made engagement ring. This stone is photographed in professional studio lighting that mimics natural sunlight of 5500 degrees kelvin and videoed outdoors the same. For care and cleaning, we strongly recommend using soapy water and a soft brush as the safest way to clean your jewelry, avoiding ultrasonic and steam cleaners. We also suggest avoiding extreme heat as it has the potential to harm the color variation of your stone. To be safe, remove your jewelry while enjoying a soak in the hot tub or steam in the sauna!
