He had always been a bully at school. In fact, he rather prided himself on it and had just made the unpleasant discovery that, like all bullies, he was a coward. How then does a character like that have such a magnetic draw? And then there’s the one drawn to him. The strong foundation and spiritual safeguard of prayer and worship had been flung away with reckless frivolity. He was not happy. How can he get out of this miserable trap? Though penned long ago, this story could have been written today. The human condition is the same no matter the decade, no matter the century. We are all just sinners saved by the mighty grace of God! To overcome we must be brave, and to be brave we must have faith.
